Attitudes and Behaviours
One of the most difficult concepts to grasp is the relationship between attitude and behaviour and to define the distinction between the two. However a basic understanding of this relationship is crucial for improving personal performance. The assumptions and beliefs people make and have about work-related issues contribute to our attitudes and motivations which, in turn, affect the way in which we behave and respond to external situations, events and other people.
Whilst tools and techniques are all relevant and extremely useful, they will only be as effective and efficient as our attitudes allow them to be. ‘Positive thinking’ and ‘an interesting course’ just aren’t enough; action, application, determination and perseverance are what’s required for any event to be truly beneficial and that’s all down to our attitude. These programmes look behind our behaviour and explores how, by consciously and positively changing our attitudes and beliefs, our actions and behaviours will automatically improve.
